Ingredients & Food Policy

Ingredients & Food Policy All our meals are home cooked here in our own kitchens, using the freshest ingredients available.

We use local suppliers for our meat and vegetables, supplied by people we know and trust. So, for example our Beef are supplied by our local butcher in Caernarfon from stock exclusively reared in Gwynedd & Anglesey.

All of our cakes & tray bakes are baked here, on site in our kitchens, which is why they are so fresh and tasty.

We offer many healthy alternatives to your favourite treats. Moist brownies made with sweet potato, our tasty gluten free treats & we now have soya milk & vegan flapjacks.

Fresh scones are baked throughout the day and are often still warm when we serve them.

Our Vegan Options
We are working on broadening our vegan options; at the moment, we have…
Some vegan traybakes – more options are in the pipeline!
Several of the traybakes are dairy free.
There should be a vegan soup on every day.
On Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays there is a vegan meal on the hotplate.
We do also have soya milk for the hot drinks.

Fron Goch Gluten Free policy

All of our food is freshly made in the same kitchen on site.

Therefore, we are aware that we cannot guarantee that our bakes and food dishes do not contain traces of gluten or wheat as we have ingredients that contain them on our premises.

**However, EVERY effort is made to avoid cross contamination. Our food handling staff have been on courses and we have procedures in place to ensure that our best efforts are made to ensure that any cross contamination is kept to a minimum.

We advise customers to ask if they have a food intolerance or allergy so that we can advise them of our situation and allow them to make an informed judgement based on the seriousness of their condition.

Our gluten free bread and flour is kept separately and when making sandwiches we open new pots of margarine.

Our Menu:
All of our sauces and gravy are made with gluten free flour
Gluten free toast has a dedicated toaster.
We have many meals that would suit a gluten free diet ** these vary daily and could include
Jacket potatoes with various fillings (prawns, tuna, cheese, beans, homemade coleslaw etc) /
The carvery is gluten free (without the Yorkshire pudding and stuffing!)
Cottage pie
Sweet and sour with rice
Curry and rice
various sandwiches with crisps and salad
Gammon with parsley sauce and steamed vegetables
Roast butternut squash with ratatouille
We are able to do a gluten free afternoon tea, without pre booking.
Many of our salads are gluten free.

We have at least 6 cake options to choose from daily that are gluten free.
Our gateaux fridge always has fresh cream roulades available that are gluten free.
